Detail Description
Extensive commentary to the Zohar by R. Solomon b. Judah ha-Kohen (d. 1850), rabbi and kabbalist in Jerusalem. He was born in Salonica into a family of rabbinical scholars and kabbalist. he studied in the kabbalaist Yeshiva Beth E-l in Jerusalem and was considered one of its more prominent scholars. He wrote several works including a commentary to the Rambam, Oheli Yehudah (Jerusalem 1843). He passed on in Tunis while on a mission for the Jewish community of Jerusalem.
