Detail Description

Two early issues of the renowned halakhic Torah journal Kol Torah. These issues, edited by R. Samiuel Aaron Weiber and published by R. Joseph Elijah Kirschenbaum are the Iyyar-Tamuz and Av-Elul issues. The title-page of Kol Torah has a subtitle stating that it is a Central Rabbinic monthly of halakhah and Aggadah. Both issues have numerous articles by distinguished rabbis. The Iyyar-Tamuz issue has fifteen articles on halakhah, among them whether a Levi is kosher to bring an offering on a bimah by R. Jeruham Fischel Perlow, insights on M. Temurah by R. Elchonon Wasserman, concerning a flowerpot with a hole by R. Joseph David ha-Kohen, and pitum ha-koteres by R. Judah Zundel Hager.The next section is responsa, explanations and clarifications with six entries, among them Har ha-Bayit by R. Isaiah Richter, the prohibition on making ma’aser sheni tuma by R. Jacob Asher Gribeskim and ha-orot on divrei ha-geonim by R. Moses Minshter. Next is a review of te new work Teshuvot Shelomo by R. Eliezer Judah and concluding with a section on aggadah and sifrot . The second issue is also comprised of a section on halakhah (16 entries) and here is followed by a section hilkhot Eretz Israel (2 entries) and then sections on responsa, a book review, and a section aggadah and sifrot. A journal with a wealth of interesting and informative articles by prominent rabbinic personaolities.
