Detail Description

Only edition of these responsa by R. Shalom Isaac b. Isaiah Kalonyomous ha-Kohen Sternberg (1855-1936) of Cracow who was dayyan in Antwerp. The responsa are on eruvin, Gittin, mikva’ot, and novellae Torah. The following page has a map of the area in Antwerp enclosed by the city’s erev and below the map a listing of the boundaries. Birkat Shalom has approbations R. Meir Dan Palatski, R. Mordecai Rottenberg, R. Judah Leib Fuenn, R. Meir Shapira, and R. Nahum Wiedenfeld. There is an introduction from the author followed by the text. There are a small number of diagrams on Eruvin and mikva’ot. There are also responsa on other subjects. The hiddushei Torah are from the son of R. Sternberg’s father and some notes from R.  Samuel Dov ben Isaac Teichtel, the son of R. Sternberg’s stepfather. Also included are some responsa from R. Hayyim Aryeh ha-Levi Horowitz of Cracow, R. Abraham Bernstein, R. Dov Berisch ha-Kohen Rappaport, R. Meir Arak, R. Dov Be’er Retter, and R. Shalom Mordecai ha-Kohen.
