Only edition. 5, 64, 5 ff., folio, 306:209 mm., usual light age toning, wide margins. A good copy bound in later boards.

 

Detailed Description:   

Only edition of this work on Talmudic methodology and related subjects by R. Hayyim ben Solomon Kohen of Tripoli. The text is arranged alphabetically with numerous entries for each letter of the alphabet. The title page states that appended to Lev Shemua is Yai’r Nativ on the Bahir and Nativ Mitzvotecha from the Maharshach. Hwever, those works were not printed with the volume, which is dated with, “unite my heart to fear your name לבבי ליראה שמך (5645 = 1885)” (Psalms 86:11). There are introductions, the second from the author, and the text in two columns in rabbinic type, ending on 64b with verse. Appended to the volume are addenda entitled Yaffe To’ar, an index, and a brief paragraph of additional addenda. The omitted material was printed in the sefer Koneh Avraham (Djerba, 1903).
