Responsa on Shulhan Arukh Orah Hayyim and Yoreh De’ah by R. R. Samuel Avigdor b. Abraham Tosefa'ah (c.1806-1866), av bet din accompanied by Kalalei Shemu’el and at the end a Kuntres Aharon. The title page has a concise text informing that R. Tosefa'ah was also author of Tanna Tosfah. This is part one, although there is no indication that part two was ever printed. Furthermore, only the first part of Kalalei Shemu’el is being printed now. That work is arranged alphabetically and all that is printed here is through the letter caph. She’elot Shemu’el is brought to press by R. Joseph Zevi Tosefa’ah, the author’s son. The title page is dated with I will praise the Lord with all my heart for part one is completed. To arrive at the date the sum must include the full value (26) of the Divine name which is given in abbreviated form (5). A second date is given for part two. The title page states that it is on all four parts of the Shulhan Arukh but the remaining parts, on Even ha-Ezer and Hoshen Mishpat were obviously intended for part two. The verso of the title page has a brief introducdtion and errata from Kalalei. The responsa are detailed and comprehensive.
