The title-page states that Tohorot ha-Nefesh is for the merit of the soul of man through great and awesome prayer on these awesome days. It is meant to deliver a person from evil decrees so that he is able to fulfil in an hour of prayer and repentance with devine help in this world for the world to come. There are approbations from R. David Israel Athias and R. Isaac Hayyim ben Dana de Brito, the author’s introduction, followed by the text, which is in square letters, excepting lead in lines and introductory material in rabbinic letters, and is vocalized. Tohorot ha-Nefesh begins with Hataras Nedarim, and proceeds in the order of prayers for the High Holidays Interesting features are the inclusion of Seder Hataras Kallalos and Seder Malkus as well as readings from the bible.

ראינו טופס בו נשמט מהשער שמו של המחבר (המלקט) השני, משה בן יעקב שניאור.

ההסכמה ניתנה ליצחק די פאס בלבד והוא גם החותם בסוף הקדמת "בעל המחבר".
