The Author's approbation appears in the first edition of the No'am Elimelekh, in the Bet Shemuʼel Aharon he records sayings of the Maggid.

Detail Description

First edition of this multi-part work on the Shulhan Arukh and discourses by R. Samuel ben Moses Phineas Felkenfeld. There are individual title-pages for the various parts of  Bet Shemuʼel Aharon. The publisher, Johann Anton Krieger employed two press marks, both comprised of his initials JAK. ’s press-mark, comprised of his of his initials, JAK. ). The larger of the two pressmarks is set in an elaborate border, employed here on the first and third title-pages, the other, smaller monogram, set within a wreath., appears o the second title-page. All three title-pages are dated with the chronogram “Samuel grew up and the LORD was with him: וַיִּגְדַּל שְׁמוּאֵל וַי״י הָיָה עִמּוֹ  (566 = 1806)” (I Samuel 3:19). The first part of Bet Shemuʼel Aharon is responsa. On the verso of the title-page are errata for the entire work, then R. Samuel ben Moses Phineas’ introduction, an index of the varied seventy-two responsa on all four parts of the Shulhan Arukh, source information and index, again for the entire work, and lastly the text. After the responsa are the sections on the Shulhan Arukh, concluding with discourses on the weekly Torah readings.

עוד שם: "ולהיות כי מה שדפסתי על ח"מ הוא הרב באיכותו... לכן... זה יצא ראשונה".
