Only edition of these novellae on the Talmud by R. Isaac Hadad (d. 1755). The title page describes Toledot Yitzhak as being on gemarra, perush Rashi, and Tosafot גפ"ת explaining the subject and the ensuing discussions, “sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb” (Psalms 19:11) “he weighed, and sought out” (Ecclesiastes 12:9) “with his strong arm” (cf. Psalms 89:11). It informs that R. Hadad was a resident of Djerba and that Toledot Yitzhak was brought to press by R. Jacob, Abraham, and Shimon, sons of the author. The verso of the title page has an Italian statement from the parnassim of the community, followed, on the next page, of an approbation with from R. Joseph Pirandus Africano S. T. (Sephardi Tahor), R. David Malakh S. T., and R. Elijah ben Moses ha-Kohen S. T. Next is the author’s introduction, followed by approbations signed by R. Joseph Kohen, R. Mordecai Haikh, R. Joseph Zirka, R. Nathan Borgil, all S. T, followed by yet additional approbations, and an introduction from R. Jacob Hadad, the author’s son. The novellae follow, in two columns in rabbinic type. The first tractate addressed is Berakhot, the last Me’ilah.
