Detail Description

Only edition of these homilies and novella on tractates by R. Solomon Bamberger. On the title-page R. Bamberger comments on the merit to both the one who says divrei Torah and the one who hears them. This is followed by a paragraph extolling his distinguished father, R. Isaac Dov Levi. There is a letter (approbation) from R. Joseph Gabriel Adler, followed by R. Bamberger’s introduction and then the text. Likkutim beginswith discourses on Bereshit through Yitro and then the novella, primarily on Berakhot but also on Shabbat and Eruvin.

R. Solomon Bamberger was a scion of the renowned Bamberger rabbinical family and a descendant of R. Seligman Baer Bamberger (1807-78, a leader of German Orthodoxy. R.
