First (only) edition of this very rare and valuable collection based on the works of zaddim and sages, that is, the talmudim of the Ba’al Shem Tov. Many of the entries comprising  Or Zaddikim have not been published previously. The title-page informs that this collection was prepared by one of the early hassidei from the time of the Maggid, that is R. Zevi Menodvorna and in the days of R. Ze’ev Wolf of Tesharni, Austria, which they heard from the maggidei emes. The verso of the title page has the names of the holy righteous ones whose names appear in Or Zaddikim. Twenty-eight names, all among the most prominent in the history of Hassidut are listed, beginning with R. Israel Ba’al Shem Tov, R. Pinhas of Koretz, R. Jacob Joseph of Polnoyye, R. Baruch from Mezeritsch, and concluding with R. Mordecai of Lisitz.
