Detail Description
Only edition of these responsa on all four parts of the Shulhan Arukh by R. Yeḥiʼel Mikhal ben Zeraḥ Borenstein. The title-page informs that R. Jehiel Michael was av bet din of Trostina. The verso of the title-page has R. Jehiel’s introduction in which he informs that the first letter of each word of the title forms an acrostic the phrase to know that the wisdom of queries that are responded to and then the initials of the authors name. Next are approbations from two of the leading rabbis of the generation, R. Hayyim Berlin and R. Hayyim Sonenfeld, both of whom mention R. Abraham Elijah, the author’s son who brought the book to press, followed by a kabbalistic depiction of a menorah and above it five five depictions of scenes from the bet ha-Mikdash. There is a listing of the responsa, ninety-three in all, followed by the text.
