Detail Description

Hasidic discourses following the weekly portion by R. Hananiah Yom Tov Lipa Teitelbaum (1836-1904), Admor of Sighet. R. Teitelbaum was born in Stropkow, and first served as rabbi in Tecso, but after his father's death in 1883 left for Sighet. He was known for his great piety, as a learned man and zaddik, and many sought him out. He wrote Kedushat Yom Tov, on the Torah and festivals (in two parts, 1895). R. Teitelbaum was the son of R. Yekusiel Yehudah Teitelbaum (Yetev Lev), Rebbe of Siget, a student of R. Hayyim of Sanz (Divrei Hayyim) and father of R.Joel Teitelbaum (Divrei Yoel and VaYoel Moshe) of Satmar (1888-1979), the renowned Satmer Rav, Grand Rebbe of Sighet. R. Hananiah Yom Tov Lipa Teitelbaum served as Grand Rabbi of Sighet. The siddur is comprehensive, the liturgy accompanied by the commentary Keter Nohora. At the end are the Torah readings, Psalms, and Ma’amadot.
