Detail Description
Only edition of these novellae on tractates of the Talmud by R. Jacob ben Moses Herzog. The title-pages describes this volume as part one but it appears that no other volumes were printed. It informs that Peri Ya’akov is hiddushim on various sugyot in the Talmud which he, the youth, ben [Moses] of Yalle and Onpeyah wrote with annotations from his father R. Moses Mintz, av bet din in Ofen. It was brought to press by his son-in-law R. Mordecai ben Ephraim Segal, book seller in Pest. There are approbations from R. Moses Mintz and R. Moses Sofer. There is prefatory material related to the Talmud and then the novellae on various tractates. An attractive work on several mesectas of the Talmud.
