First complete edition, incomplete part I (of II), 4-104, 52 (of 54) ff., extra wide margins, heavy usage with ff.38-41, 68, 98-101 damaged in margins or in text, bound in contemporary leather over boards, rubbed and spine taped.
First Complete Edition - While Yudlov lists this Siddur as "#4", the top 3 are only known as fragments or from secondary sources. No complete copy of the three is known to date. As such this, Kapust 1816 edition is indeed the first edition of the complete Siddur with all of the Alter Rebbe's commentary and nussach.
Detail Description
Liturgies for the entire year following the Habad Rite with the Ba'al ha-Tanya's Kabbalistic commentary. R. Schneer Zalman of Liadi (1745–1813), the founder of Habad hasidism was according to family traditions born in Liozna, Belorussia, on the 18th of Elul. After his marriage in 1760 he devoted himself to Torah study. Concluding that he knew "a little about learning, but nothing about prayer" in 1764 he decided to learn about hasidism from R. Dov Baer the Maggid of Mezhirech, leader of the hasidic movement. In Mezhirech he became one of the inner circle of the Maggid's pupils. Although he was one of the youngest pupils, the Maggid had a high opinion of him, and in 1770 delegated to him the task of composing a new and up-to-date Shulhan Arukh. R. Schneer Zalman worked on this book for many years, but published only small parts of it. About one-third was printed posthumously (the rest had been destroyed by fire) and is known as the "Shulhan Arukh of the Rav" (1814). Though not a hasidic work, it represents - as the Maggid had intended - a great halakhic achievement. It evidences R. Schneer Zalman's superb Hebrew style, his ability to provide lucid explanation, and profundity without complexity. It became an authoritative halakhic source among observant Jews.

סידור נוסח חב"ד. עם הלכות ומאמרי חסידות מאת ר’ שניאור זלמן מלאדי. בעריכת בנו ר’ דוב בר.
סידור ביסודו הוא בנוסח ספרד, אך שונה מהנוסח של הספרדים ומהנוסח של רוב החסידים והוא עריכה עצמאית של ר’ שניאור זלמן. הוא צרף דינים השייכים לסידור (כולל הלכות נטילת ידים, שהן "מהדורא בתרא" להלכות שב"שולחן ערוך" שלו).
חלק א: לימות החול. עם "פירוש המלות על פסוקי דזמרה... וכוונת ק"ש [קריאת שמע] בכללה ועניני התפלה בכלל, וענין ציצית ותפילין ובהמ"ז [וברכת המזון] ומילה וחתונה". [2], קד, נד דף
עם סדר סעודה, סדר קריאת שמע על המטה ותיקון חצות.
בראש הספר: "הקדמת והסכמת... מ’ דוב בער בהגאון הרב המחבר", שערך והביאו לדפוס: "ולקטתי מכמה קונטרסי’ מהעתקו’ שיש בידי שהעתיקו רבים מכת"י [מכתבי יד], וגם הרבה קונטרסי’ מגוף כתיבת ידי ממש... שאאמו"ר [שאדוני אבי מורי ורבי] נ"ע הגיהם... והוטבו בעיניו מאד".
חלק ב: תפילות לשבת, לראש חודש, למועדים ולימים נוראים "עם פירוש המלות מהשמי’ מספרים עד נשמת... וכוונת המקו’ וענייני שבת... ופי’ על פתח אליהו ועל כגוונא, ועניני ר"ח [ראש חודש]... וענייני המועדים... וגם לפסח וספירה ול"ג בעומר ולחג השבועות ולר"ה וליה"כ [ולראש השנה וליום הכיפורים] וכוונת השופר... וכוונת הסכות ונטילת לולב ושמ"ע [ושמיני עצרת]... גם לחנוכה ופורים". סח, צט דף.
כפי הנראה נדפסה עוד קודם לכן מהדורה של סידור זה. לפי מקורות חב"ד ההוצאה הראשונה נדפסה בשקלאוו תקס"ג (עיין: ח"מ היילמאן, בית רבי, ברדיטשוב תרס"ב, עמ’ 167-168; א"מ הברמן, שערי חב"ד, בתוך: עלי עי"ן, מנחת דברים לש"ז שוקן, ירושלים תש"ח-תשי"ב, עמ’ 326-327 מס’ 135. הברמן מזכיר, במס’ 136, הוצאה נוספת: קאפוסט, לפני תקע"ג).
ההוצאה הנוכחית נערכה על ידי ר’ דוב בר, שחלק אותו לשני חלקים, צרף ביאור לחלק מהתפילה וכן דרושי חסידות רבים (שנאמרו על ידי ר’ שניאור זלמן והועלו על הכתב על ידי ר’ דוב בר) והגיה את הסידור יחד עם חתנו ר’ מנחם מנדל שניאורסון.
