Detail Description

Only edition of this detailed alphabetical compilation of mitzvot and minhagim. This volume is part two of a multi-volume work, but it appears that some of the other volumes may not have been published. This volume begins with siman 264 and concludes with siman 354. An index at the end of Me-Ta’am ha-Melekh list the subject of each entry and its category. For example, the first two entries are for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; followed by three entries for Eretz Israel; five for Ahashverus, Mordecai, and Esther; two for issur, ve-heter, and trefus; and concluding with tefilla, teheles, and tzitzus. Each category entry has several subject paragraphs. The volume concludes with a listing of the simanim by weekly parasha. A comprehensive, fascinating well done work on an important and interesting subject.

He also served as a dayyan on the bet din and had great influence on his community. In 1805 R. Amram he returned to Safed where he quickly achieved prominence. In his final years R. Amram moved to Alexandria where he passed away. R. Amram wrote a number of highly regarded works.
