Detail Description

Engagement contract of Hannah Bamberger, duaghter of R. Moses (Moshe Leib) Bamberger, rabbi  in Kissingen, the granddaughter of the Wurzburger Rav to a member of the Munk family, R. Judah (Leo) Munk (1883-1963), rabbi in Marburg, subsequently Ohav Zedek in New York City.

Signed by R. Munk and R. Dr. Isaac Seckel ha-Levi Bamberger (1863–1934), son of R. Simon Simhah and district rabbi at Kissingen. He was educated in the yeshiva of R. Hildesheimer in Berlin and was ordained by several prominent rabbinal leaders including R. Isaac Elhanan Spekor of Kovna. R. Isaac Seckel wrote a halakhic tract on the immersion of vessels (Tevilat Kelim, with German translation, 1887); an edition of the Midrash Lekah Tov on the Song of Songs and Ruth (1887); and a translation with commentary of Avot (1897). Many other manuscripts of novellae remain unpublished.
