Only edition. 86, 10 f., folio, 275:185 mm., light age and damp staining, wide margins, old hands on title. A very good copy loose in contemporary boards, rubbed and split.

 

Detail Description

Only edition of these novellae to the Talmud and responsa in various halakhic topics. The Author passed on at the early age of 22, the book was printed in his memory by his father. The father includes in the work the speech he held on the Author's wedding and on the first anniversary of his passing.

[שאלות ותשובות] ... דרושים) אשר השאיר אחריו ... ובסוף הספר ... מפתחות התשובות דשייכי לחלק י"ד [בעי חיי, ח"א, שאלוניקי תקמ"ח] להר"ב כנה"ג [להרב בעל כנסת הגדולה, ר' חיים בנבנשתי] אשר לא באו על מזבח הדפוס (נמצאו זה שנים ביני כתבי ... ר' חיים אלפאנדארי נר"ו).

דף [2]: הקדמת ... ר' יצחק (בכמה"ר יאודה) הכהן [רפאפורט].  כותב בין השאר: אותה נפש האב ... ר' אליה הלוי ... לצרף ... מילי דדרשא שדרשתי ביום חתונתו [של המחבר] ... הדרשא ... במלאת השנה אשר היתה מנוחתו. שני הדרושים נדפסו בדף עט,ב-פו.
