Only edition, folio, [2], 21, 40 ff (irreg. foliation), 358:255 mm., wide margins, usual age staining. A very good copy bound in modern cloth over boards..

 

Detail Description

Only edition of these novellae on Talmudic tractates, discourses, and eulogies by R. Moses Jacob ben Jekuthiel Zalman Dembitzer (d. 1863). The title-page informs that the above discourses are in depth and of sound reasoning and that R. Dembitzer was a Torah sage in Cracow for twenty years and raised many talmudim.  On the verso of the title page is an approbation from R. Shimon Sofer, and introductions from R. Jekutial Zalman, the author’s son, and then from. R. Dembitzer. R. Jekuthiel Zalman writes that among the reasons he has named this work Meme ha-Da’at because it is as precious waters and that it refers to R. Dembitzer, his father, and his mother, that is מימי stands for מ Moshe י Ya’acov מ Machli י Jekuthiel. Next is  errata ad then the text which is comprised of novellae on tractates, discourses, and eulogies as noted above. Meme ha-Da’at is a rich and valuable work.
