Only edition of the novellae and discourses by R. Mordecai Joseph ben Elimelech Wildmann. The cover is in German, stating that it is Quell-Wasser. Talmudische Forschungen (Spring water, Talmudic studies) by M. J. Wildmann of Warsaw. The title page states that the work is in two parts, the first hiddushim and pilpul on the Talmud, the second, discourses on the bible and aggadah of our rabbis. The title page is dated, “and the Messiah ben David Your servant will come and redeem us.” Mei Me’ayin was brought to press by Solomon Gabriel (Margoliot) Rosenthal. There are approbations from R. Isaac ben Israel issur Feigenbaum, R. Pethahiah Harenblas, R. Menahem Nahum Rosenblat, and R. Joshua Alter Wildmann, brother of the author. All of these approbations were given in 1905. There is a lengthy introduction from R. Wildmann, followed by the text, which is in two columns in rabbinic type, excepting headers and initial words. Part one begins with tractate Berakhot and concludes with Hullin. Part two has its own title page and introduction. There are derashot, followed by Parperes Na’im.
