Detail Description

First edition of this important and fascinating historical account of Jewish History in France and German in the eleventh through thirteenth centuriues (1033-1273) by Julius Aronius. The full title is Regesten zur Geschichte der Juden im Fränkischen und Deutschen Reiche Bis zum Jahre 1273. Regesten der Geschichte der Juden gives, in chronological order, under each date, an abstract of every entry in the medieval chronicles and documents relating to the Jews of Germany. Its publication was interrupted by the death of Aronius, and was completed by Saalfeld. The title-page also notes two co-authors, Albert Dresdner and Ludwig Lewinski. The green color jacket gives the date 1887 but the title-age is dated 1902. There is an introduction from H. Breslau and then the text, in 773 numbered paragraphs, which begins in c. 100 and concludes in 1260-86
