Detail Description

Document by R.Raphael Jacob Abraham Ghiron b. Mordecai, (1670-1751) Rabbi of and Rosh Yeshivah in Adrianople in the 18th century. His "Tiḳḳun Soferim" was published posthumously (Constantinople 1756). He left in manuscript homilies, novellae, and responsa. An old family originally from Gerona, Spain, and known in Hebrew as "the Geronim." It has produced many distinguished rabbis
