First edition? 160 pp. 125:102 mm., light age staining. A very good copy bound in the original cloth boards, rubbed.

 

Detail Description

The full title reads: Thoughts suggested by Bible texts: addressed to my children. "A volume of edificatory sermonettes followed by a prayer of an ethical nature. Three of the many themes treated here are neighborly love, immortality, truth and falsehood." This volume was later reprinted by the Isaac Leeser and published by the Hebrew Sunday School Society of Philadelphia (Pa.) in 1861 and 1869. " As was his wont, when Isaac Leeser saw a good English book, he reprinted it."
