Two part Talmudic novellae and discourses by R. Meir Michael Rabbinovitz. The volume cover informs that this is both part one and two and that R. Meir is descended from R. Shalom ben R. Samuel ben R. Abraham, the Vilna Gaon’s brother. Each part has its own title-page. The verso of the title-page of part one has a dedication to R. Israel Aaron Fischel. It is followed by approbations from the first edition (1903), the introduction of R. Samuel, the author’s son and a list of the pameratim who made assisted with publication. The text follows with twenty-seven very detailed and scholarly discourses on such varied subjects as all enactments of the rabbanim are as from the Torah, explaining a Tosafot, if one profanes yom tov if one eats less than a cazis, and an oath that it is impossible to fulfill. The second part is comprised of seventeen similar discourses followed by Helek ha-Derosh consisting of eleven discourses.
