Only edition of this rare German text language with occasional Hebrew bibliography. The title-page describes it as EINE ÜBERSICHT. Bibliographische Notizen (AN OVERVIEW. Bibliographic notes). There is an introduction from the noted scholar and author Aaron Zeev Aescoly and then the text, which is in two parts, Druckwerke (printed books) and Handschriften and Spezielles (manuscripts and special works). Each part is subdivide by subject, for example printed books are in nine sections, including bibliography, Bible, Talmud and Midrash, Rabbinisch Literatur, Liturgy, Gesschichte and Kulturgeschicte (history and cultural history), Anti-semitica, Zionism, and Judaica, the latter comprised of modern literature and other Jewish subjects. The manuscript section in seven parts includes diverse texts, autographs, curiosities, pictures, and varia. The text includes descriptions of varied earlier works, several from the sixteenth century. A fascinating and much varied collection of Hebraica over the centuries.
