R. Israel b. Zvi Welz (1887-1993) was born in Lemes, Hungary, a suburb of Kosice and Presov. An erudite scholar he served in several communities including Chief Judge of Budapest. He emigrated to Erez Israel in 1949 and was appointed to the Jerusalem Bet Din, were he served until his passing. He wrote Hok le-Israel, a comprehensive collection of rules for Erev Pessah that falls on a Sabbath. His responsa appeared regularly in every period Torah journal, indeed some in every issue (Hamaor).

R. Samuel b. Joshua Falk Kipnis (1883-1979) , Chief Editor of Ozar Haposkim in Jerusalem. He was born in Norinsk and educated in Lithuanian yeshivot. An erudite Talmudic scholar, R. Kipnis served as rabbi of Ovrutch before emigrating to Erez Israel in 1934. He was rabbi in Jerusalem before accepting the Ozar position where he served until his passing.

R. Joseph Naftali b. Asher Anshel Stern (1888-1971), rabbi, Rosh Yeshiva Yeshivas Pressburg, member of the Mo'atzet. He was born in Ilak, Hungary and studied in the Yeshiva of R. Joseph Zevi Dushinsky in Galanta among others. An erudite scholar he married into the Sofer family and was the editor of many Sofer family novellae and responsa. In Jerusalem he was the Chief Editor of Ozar haPoskim.
